For PLT’s 2021 International Women’s Day campaign, we teamed with The FOUR Model Management to showcase fierce females who are taking the modeling world by storm.
Each day this week we are going to be introducing you to the women reppin’ the #EveryBODYinPLT movement. Absolute mega babes that embody all things strength, positivity and girl power.
Today we are catching up with Allanah, the curvaceous beauty with killer charisma.
Hey Allanah, could you start by telling us about yourself?
Born and raised in East London. I love chilling with the girls and going out for a cheeky cocktail.. or 10!
What are you most excited about with this collaboration?
I’m excited to grow with the team and see what the future holds after this shoot!
Tell us three things you stand for?
Peace, equal opportunities & integrity. Always.
Why do you think championing body confidence is so important?
I think its is so important as you never know who you make an impact on or who you are empowering!
Who are your biggest role models?
My mum, she always inspires me to persevere through the hard times and never give up. Always reinstalling confidence in myself and reassuring me that I am capable of great things.
Marilyn Monroe as she pushed boundaries and changed the world. She broke down stereotypes and stood up for hers and women’s rights.
What is happiness to you?
Happiness for me is a state of mind. It’s when I am at peace and enjoying what I am doing.
I also find happiness by putting a smile on someone’s face or helping people. By knowing that I have the capability to positively impact individuals in some shape or form.
At what age did you feel most at peace with your body image?
Now – 22! Although I still have my moments where my body image is not it’s best (which is only normal!).
It wasn’t until I accepted and realised that our bodies are constantly changing yet they still remain so beautiful and powerful.
When do you feel your most confident?
I feel most confident when I’m having a good hair and eyebrow day!
How do you practice self-love?
Taking a break, pouring a glass of wine and manifesting – Reminding myself that I am worthy and I am enough.
If you could tell your younger self anything, what would it be?
Accept yourself as God made you. Live in the moment and stop being so consumed by social media and how people perceive you.
What would you like to see happen in the modelling/fashion industry in the next 5 years?
I would like to see the industry continuing to embrace diversity, change and representing those from all walks of life and backgrounds.
What do you want people to know about you?
There’s more to me than what social media portrays!
And finally, what does the hashtag #EveryBODYinPLT mean to you?
The hashtag for me brings individuals together from all walks of life. People coming together to embrace, empower and encourage others to do the same.
