Today we’re catching up with PLT Society member Nicole to talk all things personal style, autumn outfit inspiration, and fashion trends.
Hi Nicole, could you start by telling us a little bit about yourself and your role here at PrettyLittleThing?
Hey, I’m Nicole. I am an assistant buyer here at PLT, on the tops & bottoms team.
I love working across a multi category team because it expands my creativity with developing product, as I’m not limited to one particular item.
My day to day is never the same, which I absolutely love as it never gets boring aha!
As an assistant buyer I help my team build our range from fabric sourcing, to developing product, costing the range, and getting the orders live. With this comes helping oversee the critical path so essentially making sure the product is on the system, to fittings the sample, confirming swatches, and ensuring styles are delivered and published on time.
How would you explain your personal style?
I would definitely describe my style as clean girl. Give me an oversized blazer and I’m good to go. I am obsessed with tailoring and loafers, think autumn in Paris.
Where do you tend to take outfit inspo from?
PINTEREST! I am constantly on Pinterest, I have so many boards for different vibes I like or if I have a trip/event coming up I will always make a little board for the vibe I’m going for.
I also love looking at what my fashion inspirations are wearing, I love Hailey Bieber’s style, and I like a lot of 90’s models style like Cindy Crawford so I like to recreate their outfits.
Are there any social or fashion trends you’re loving right now?
I am loving all the A/W style posts ATM.
Autumn is my favourite time of year for fashion, I love all the suede jackets, cropped trenches and funnel neck jackets.
I am also loving the stripes trend right now, and I think it’s only going to get bigger.
What are the 3 trends you’ll be buying into as we head into AW25?
Definitely a striped rugby style top, any funnel neck jacket I find and for night outs I love the satin lace tops.
What are 5 pieces you’d recommend having within an autumn capsule wardrobe?
Blue Light Glasses (I love the oval shaped ones).
