Today we’re catching up with PLT Society member Zara to talk all things personal style, outfit inspiration and fashion trends.
Hey Zara, could you start by telling us a little bit about yourself and your role here at PrettyLittleThing?
Hi! I’m Zara, I’m 26 and I work as a Senior Buying Admin Assistant here at PrettyLittleThing.
My role is super hands on and creative. I assist my team in developing new styles, building ranges, and managing our current orders to make sure everything runs smoothly from concept to customer. I’m constantly looking at what’s new on the high street and online, especially what competitors are dropping.
Basically, I get to shop for a living and call it work! It’s fast paced, fun, and no two days are ever the same, which is exactly what I love about it.
How would you explain your personal style?
I’d say my personal style is a mix of effortless and trend driven.
I love putting together looks that feel polished but still have a bit of edge. Clean silhouettes with statement pieces or bold accessories are my go-to.
I’m definitely influenced by street style and pop culture, but I always like to add my own twist.
One day I’ll be in oversized tailoring and trainers, the next it’s all about a tight fitting co-ord and heels. It really depends on my mood.
Where do you tend to take outfit inspo from?
I get most of my outfit inspo from Pinterest, Instagram, and TikTok. They’re my go-to platforms for spotting new trends and styling ideas.
Pinterest is perfect for building mood boards and getting outfit ideas for specific occasions.
Instagram keeps me up to date with what influencers and stylists are wearing, and TikTok is amazing for quick styling hacks or discovering new brands and aesthetics.
I love mixing all the inspo together to create looks that are on trend but still very me.
Are there any fashion trends you’re loving right now?
I’m really into pastel suedes and anything with stripes at the moment, they give effortless cool girl vibes.
Pastel suedes feel like such a fresh take on transitional dressing, and stripes elevate any basic outfits. I love how easy they are to style and how they instantly make an outfit feel more put together.
TikTok has definitely influenced a lot of my recent looks. There’s always a new micro-trend popping up that makes me want to refresh my wardrobe.
What would be your 3 trend predictions for AW25?
For AW25, I’m predicting suede to continue trending especially in soft pastels and rich autumn tones. It adds such a luxe, vintage feel and is perfect for layering pieces like jackets, boots, and skirts.
Maximalism styling will continue to trend into Autumn/Winter with playful trainer customisation, bold jewellery layering and bag charm orientation allowing fashion to become personal, expressive, and unapologetically loud.
Finally, I think statement leather in bold cuts, oversized silhouettes, and unexpected colours will be seen this Autumn/Winter. Whether it’s a full co-ord or a standout piece like a trench, it’ll definitely be something I’ll be looking out for online and in stores.
