So the Oscars happened yesterday and whilst we were mildly interested in the tiny parachutes dropping sweets into celebs laps, and that mishap where the wrong winner was announced, what we really were interested in was the fashion. We’ve rounded up our fave looks from the red carpet and afterparty.
Thigh high splits were seen errrywhere on the red carpet, from Taraji P. Henson to Charlize Theron, the celeb babes know where it’s at. Chrissy rocked an embellished gown complete with a cape, mesh upper body, and extreme thigh high splits. If you got it girl, flaunt it. Oh, and in case you missed it, Chrissy fell asleep mid-ceremony on live TV. As if we needed any more reasons to love her.
Emma looked every inch the perfect Hollywood Starlet, incorporating two of this year’s Oscars biggest trends: champagne and embellishment. Her Givenchy flapper-esque gown is basically the 20’s version of the iconic Oscars golden award, except obviously a lil’ more fancy with Swarovski crystal beading throughout. Then again, if you can’t get fancy at the Oscars, when can you?
Remember when the whole Kardashian clan turned up to the Yeezy Season 3 unveiling in Yeezy X Balmain co-ordinating outfits? Yep, they’re the vibes this insane textured dress is giving off. And we are LOVING it. Em can we just be best friends already?
We’re going heart-eyed over this dreamy halter floor length gown, featuring floral embroidery and ruffle detailing. Hailee completed her red carpet look by adorning herself in enough diamonds to make a Royal jealous. There’s a reason this look made the top 10 most Googled Oscars looks of 2017.
Karlie Kloss, certified member of T-Swizzle’s #girlgang and all round mega-babe, slays in this white-hot floor length gown by Stella McCartney. To add detail to an otherwise super clean look, Karlie has adorned her neck in the sparkliest choker we’ve probably ever seen and we seriously approve. And are those metallic heels we see poking out? Stuff of dreams.
Oh look, another celeb dressed like an actual Oscar. We might laugh, but we are seriously diggin’ this gold floor length sparkly gown trend. Jessica looks radiant in this figure hugging heavily embellished number, although we can’t help but wonder how much it weighs..
