How To Be More Eco-Friendly

Feeling like your swimming in plastic and not sure how to make the change? Lucky for you, being an eco warrior is totally on trend this year. We’re here to help a sister out with our go-to-guide on how to cut down your plastic consumption.

Invest in a shopper bag

This is a good place to start and one of the most effective ways of reducing your plastic consumption. In fact, New York have taken the overuse of plastic bags so seriously they have just signed off a bill that bans on all single-use plastic bags. We here you NY.

Reusable water bottles and coffee cups

Gone are the days where taking a selfie with a Starbucks plastic cup is cool. Thankfully, reusable water bottle are 2019’s answer to the it-bag. Trust us, this is one fashion trend you want to invest in.

Pack your lunch

You probably don’t realise how much single use packaging you’re using by eating out everyday. Its time to invest in a good lunchbox and wow your work mates with your culinary skills. Stuck for ideas? Invest in a good cookbook to spice up your repertoire.

Recycle good plastics

This may seem like an obvious one, but understanding the difference between good plastics and bad plastics might help change your shopping habits. Clear plastic bottles, shampoos, yogurt containers, have a higher probability of being recycled. Disposable cutlery and  coffee cups have a very low chance.

Straws suck

This ones simple. If you don’t need one, don’t use one. Plastic straws and stirrers can take up to 200 years to decompose. If you really can’t part with this one invest in a metal or bamboo reusable straw that you can keep in your bag.
