Influencers X Forbidden Fruit Festival

We recently headed over to Forbidden Fruit festival in Ireland to serve up our best festival style with some of our fave Irish influencers.

With a day of good vibes, good music and good company. Plenty of fun was had.

We caught up with our main three festival babes to catch up on what went down, their Longitude festival highlight and those all-important post-festival hacks.

@LORNASPAINE

What are your must-have festival essentials to take with you to make sure you’re always looking best dressed?

My festival beauty essentials would be suncream because obviously being out in the open all day is really harsh on your skin so you want to protect it.

I loveeeee a good body highlight. I think shiny legs can absolutely make an outfit so I always drown myself in highlighter before going to a festival.

Dry shampoo is essential for when my hair starts to go flat and lose volume throughout the day.

Vaseline is also a good one because it can be used as a lipgloss, a moisturizer, you can apply some to your legs to give them a sheen, tames eyebrows etc etc.

And lastly a really good settling spray to keep you makeup in tact for the whole day :

What’s your favourite festival accessory to elevate any outfit?

My favorite festival accessory that can elevate any outfit is alwaaaaays a cute little hat. I love wearing hats to festivals. I never really wear them in my day to day life because I don’t really think they suit me so I use festivals as my chance to pull one off.

What’s your dream festival line-up?

My dream festival lineup would be a lot of rap and hip hop artists such as Jcole, Drake, ASAP Rock, Tyler the Creator, Big Sean, Anderson Paak etc but I also love bands so a few of them thrown in their too such as Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kasabian etc

One thing that I couldn’t live without at a festival would be a portable charger. I am the worst for constantly being on my phone taking photos and videos non stop so I always bring a portable charger everywhere with me.

@lynnkelly

What’s your typical festival style?

It really depends on the weather, I will usually order 2 or 3 outfits and wear whatever suits the weather best!

Where are we likely to find you hanging out at a festival?

Sitting out in the sun beside the stage chilling, or dancing!

How would you typically do your glam for a festival?

I would usually go glam! Why not, festival fashion should be fun!

What’s your go-to festival beauty essentials to take care of your skin?

I always have a lip balm, Like Elizabeth Arden 8 hour, and sunglasses!

Do you have any beauty/hair hacks to keep you looking fresh throughout the day?

I usually wear my signature high sleek ponytail!

What’s your favourite festival accessory to elevate any outfit?

My signature long ponytail!

What’s the one thing you couldn’t live without at a festival?

My phone, and sunglasses!

What’s your dream festival line-up?

Kayne West and Coldplay

Were there any worst moments?

One year I left a festival pretty much in tears because it absolutely lashed for about 8 hours solid. We were soaked to the bone. I abandoned all of my belongings and called a taxi home. Never seen my 8 man tent again or any of my belongings!

@charleenmurphy

What’s your typical festival style?

I don’t think I have one festival style in particular, especially when it comes to festivals that last for a couple days, anything goes for me and I like to switch it up and have different vibes for each day.

Where are we likely to find you hanging out at a festival?

 You will definitely find me hanging out in a DJ tent dancing away, I love having a good time and dancing with my friends at festivals and not having a care in the world.

How would you typically do your glam for a festival?

I definitely like to switch up my glam as much as I switch up my outfits, but I don’t go very OTT as I prefer my outfit to do the talking! I think you can’t go wrong with glowy skin and a smokey eye.

What are your must-have festival essentials to take with you to make sure you’re always looking best dressed?

 My must-have essentials are a hairbrush (to keep your hair looking good), a clear lip gloss, a pair of killer sunglasses and a beauty blender to keep your face from getting shiny!

What’s your go-to festival beauty essentials to take care of your skin?

It’s so important to take care of your skin especially at camping festivals so I always bring wipes and make sure I take my makeup off every night, drink lots of water, bring a really hydrating moisturiser and most importantly lip balm, I can’t live without it!

Do you have any beauty/hair hacks to keep you looking fresh throughout the day?

My top beauty hack for festivals would be to keep a makeup brush or a beauty blender in your bag to blot away any oils coming through on your skin and keep reapplying lipgloss (this will make you look more put together without having to do much)

Can you tell us 3 festival do’s don’ts?

3 do’s: 1. Set up a meeting point to find your friends if you get split up

2. Make sure you know what time your fave act is playing.

3. Get loads of pics of your outfit and with your friends, you make the best memories at festivals!

3 don’ts: 1. Don’t care what others think of you and your outfit. 2.

Don’t forget to take your makeup off at night!

3. Don’t forget to drink lots of water to keep you hydrated for a night of dancing.

My dream line up would be Cardi B, Beyonce, chemical brothers, J Hus, MK, Kerri Chandler, Peggy Gou, Bicep, Jorja Smith.
