Madonna’s Most Iconic Looks

The queen of reinvention has said a big f*ck you to the test of time and proved she can always remain relevant. Like cockroaches and Cher, Madonna will too be one of the last remaining things living when the planet ceases to exist.

Madonna’s Most Iconic Looks

In honour of the undeniable Queen of Pop’s 60th birthday, we’ve rounded up our fave and underrated Madonna looks we think are nothing short of iconic.

I’m feeling like this is a summer look I could really get into. The cute slip dress, round sunnies and statement jewellery are an easy but foolproof combo.

The kind of styling Madonna was known for, this outfit compromises the best of the 80s for us. The leather jacket, the peroxide do and the denim graffiti skirt all thrown together just work.

Madonna’s more natural looking beach look still has a definite “Madonna Edge” and I am here for it. Fishnets and a studded belt whilst you’re rolling in the sand looking to get your best Instagram snap? Yep, I’m down.

Her look for the “Blonde Ambition” tour was a LEWK. Madonna unveiled the now iconic cone bra by Jean Paul Gaultier – which is safe to say was something of a talking point at the time. More style points for the snatched ponytail and dramatic eyebrows too.

80’s street style vibes from Madonna off-duty. Looking like the leader of a girl gang we now wanna join, this is how you do summer goth-grunge right. Madge even seems to pull off slightly greasy hair as if it is a look all on its own.

Ok, a more low key look from Queen Madge but I fully into it. Her new look for the ‘Ray of Light’ music video unveiled warm honey coloured beachy waves and a noughties denim look – which sans the sequin belt, I would totally wear RN.

Her full-on Marilyn moment for the Oscars after-party in 1991 was everything. Madonna came through dripping, complete with the ultimate OTT accessory – Michael Jackson. After all, what is a Queen (of pop) without her King (of pop).

Madonna was the bish causing all that conversation once again at the premiere for her slightly scandalous 1992 coffee-table book of erotica. Granted, this look consisting of a Little Bo Peep who dabbles in bondage on the side, complete with sweet lamb toy accessory is a bit extra, but you cannot deny it is iconic.
