PLT Society. Our group of professional PLTers who are on hand to inspire and influence when it comes to what to wear and how to style it.
We caught up with PLT Society members Harriet, Ruby and James to share August bank holiday outfit inspo.
From festival looks to personal style, this is what PLT Society will be wearing this bank holiday weekend.
Harriet Butler
Hey, I’m Harriet. I would describe my style to be a balance between casual and elevated. I tend to gravitate more towards relaxed, effortless pieces, like loose-fit jeans or wide-leg denim but always like to make a statement to my look through standout pieces. Whether it’s a statement top with an unusual cut (asymmetric, backless etc), or a sleek pair of slip-on thong heels that adds a minimal chic element. I like both laid-back and put together. I prefer subtle contrasts in my outfits but dressing it up with chunky accessories like bangles, oversized bags, and standout gold earrings.
Do you have any plans for the August bank holiday?
I am going out with friends for dinner and then to my boyfriends DJ set in the evening.
What will you be wearing outfit wise?
I will probably go for something floaty and simple but accessorise with some statement accessories.
I am thinking to go for the Khaki Chiffon Highneck Extreme Longline Top, Butter Yellow High Waisted Mom Shorts or Petite Ecru Denim Jorts and a pair of biker boots.
Key trends for the August bank holiday are set to be layering, relaxed tailoring and denim (especially jorts). We’d love to know how you’d style these trends for bank holiday.

Ruby Glendinning
I’m Ruby. I’ve worked at PLT for just shy of 4 years.
I’m the social creative here at PrettyLittleThing and I love anything fashion, design, and aesthetics.
I’d describe my style as structured, minimal, and curated.
Do you have any plans for the August bank holiday?
During the August bank holiday, my mum is coming down from Newcastle. On the Saturday we’re going for food and some drinks then going to watch Moulin Rouge at the theatre – eek!
Outfit wise, I think we both want to dress up a little. Weather dependant, I’ll either be repping some cool gurl low waist jeans and some toe thong heeled mules or a little black dress and some boots – either way I’m usually in black or white.
Layering
I’m obsessed with layering with cardigans ATM, a little over the shoulder look – so cute!
Taupe Compact Knit Button Through Cardigan
I’d pair this White Soft Rib Short Sleeve Top and White Seam Detail Barrel Jean.
Effortless chic.
Relaxed Tailoring
My go-to is always some classic tailored black trousers, heels and a cute top, a fail-safe for any occasion.
White Floral Textured Boned Corset paired with Black Woven Pleat Detail Wide Leg Trousers and PLT Label Black Croc Faux Leather Point Toe High Heeled Court Shoes.
I personally love styling with high-end accessories, subtle but IYKYK.
Denim Jorts
I’m yet to attempt to pull of shorts at the height of 5’3 BUT, go hard or go home – I’m loving these Petite Washed Black Denim Jorts, paired with a simple white tee or this White Lobster Plate Graphic Oversized T-shirt, the back is soooo La Dolce summer.

James Watts
Hey, I’m James. I’ve been a part of the PLT family for over 2 years and most well-known for providing everyone with their daily coffee & new matcha fix’s.
I’m off to a festival for bank holiday and my theme is denim on denim.
I’m loving Cream Beaded Trim Cowboy Hat & Shape Chocolate Gold Wave Trim Tailored Jorts, styled with a basic white bandeau top will give me the boho comfy & cool vibe for the festival.
My best advice for if heading to a festival this bank holiday is to prioritise comfort, the more comfortable you are the more confident you’ll feel.
