#MYPLTSTYLE
A few weeks ago we ran an Instagram exclusive competition to see how our customers styled PrettyLittleThing. Out of hundreds of hopefuls, three ladies were gifted a full PLT outfit of their choice for their take on #PLTSTYLE. We take a few minutes to chat to our competition winners of all things fashion, style and faux-pas!

How would you describe your personal style?
“Fashion is the same regardless, but style is a way of creatively reflecting your own personality. Whilst what I wear changes from day-to-day, depending on my mood, simplicity and class is my style mantra. A block coloured midi skirt and crop top, paired with some pointed heels will forever be my hearts desire for my wardrobe. However, that is needless to say, I do believe fashion is about taking risks and so on the odd day I may throw on something a little funky.”
What fashion item could you not live without?
“Well it depends on the season, and considering Autumn/Winter is coming up, I cannot live without my roll-neck knit jumper. They’re warm and chic and perfect for cold weather.”
Where do you get your fashion inspiration?
“Mainly from social media such as Instagram. I love how it’s a platform for people to share their own unique style’s and for people to take inspiration from. However, I also get major inspiration from every fashionista’s favourite magazine – Vogue.”
Who’s your ultimate style icon?
“It changes every so often, but right now I’m loving Australian fashion blogger Micah Gianneli.”
What is your trend of choice for A/W15?
“Roll-neck knit jumpers, and the colour burgundy!”
What was your biggest fashion disaster?
“I can’t remember one in particular, but most the time it’s bra straps. I hate them. When you have an amazing outfit, a peeking bra strap can ruin it.”
And finally, what PLT pieces do you have your eye on at the moment?
“I love all PLT pieces! But I have seen the new Yeni Black Suede Heeled Ankle Boots – pointed, suede and heeled sound like heaven to me! And they would be perfect for Autumn/Winter. I also love the Damaris Black Leather Lapel Blazer, I have a feeling Blazer’s are going to be big this season.”
Alexus Black Bomber Jacket – £25.00
Lottie Black Crepe Wrap Bralet – £12.00
Sage Black Crepe Cigarette Trousers – £12.00
Diane Black PU Belt – £6.00
Bali Black Faux Suede Pointed Strappy Lace-Up Heels – £30.00
“Hmm it really depends on the occasion. I do love a classy outfit which is pure girly-girl but then I do love sticking on a cap some days with a bomber! There ain’t no saying I couldn’t mix and match both though. I would definitely say I’m into street-style the most so that would probably best describe myself.”
“High Waisted Jeans or Heels???? I’m definitely going to go with High Waisted Jeans! They are the most essential jean you could get own. Only because they go with any type of top whether it be a bodysuit, crop, bralet or even a tie front.”
“Might sound strange but the majority of people on Instagram that I follow are fashion pages. Freak! They have these pages which put outfits together which inspires me the most and gives me ideas that I then elaborate on and create my own. Social-media is one of the biggest trend inspirations at the moment.”
“I do love a bit of Kim K style! But who’s to say that celebrities have to be your style icon? For me I think Tayla-Blue the founder of HOT!MESS is one of the biggest style icon’s right now. I remember when HOT!MESS first came around and they have just constantly grown, I have always been a fan. Her clothing range is amazing and never fails to make me think OMG I need that! She has also got herself into make-up now as well and is holding the life which every girl would love to have. Hard work pays off and she has definitely shown that, I love it! Also @Sherlinanym on Instagram, check her out she is a big style icon right now.Oh, and of course Rihanna!”
“I’m not sure if I have even had one (thinking at the moment) but I would definitely say that looking back to 2008-2010 photos of what I used to wear is super embarrassing. Then again I guess that was the trend back then but I think to myself how did I even walk out the house like that!”
“I love the turtle neck, mid-wash jeans and lace-up boots/low heels look this season. Spice it up a bit with a leather jacket and some aviator shades!”
“Does everything count?! Haha. I’m currently in love with the Remi Lace-up Jumpsuit and Moses Culotte Jumpsuit in Khaki and Wine! Also loving the Ondine Denim Culottes at the moment, shall I just say the whole culotte collection?! Loving the fact that you have bought out “The Basics” category now too, so much easier to find all plain tees that you can collab with any outfit possible.”

“My personal style changes on how I feel that day but I’m either in extremely girly, floaty, elegant clothes or I’d say very chic and sexy but being modest on what I show. I’m starting to know what suits me to accentuate my figure or what colours to compliment my colouring.”
“A really nice pair of high waisted skinny jeans, I have about 10 pairs I literally live in them.”
“Definitely Kimmy k! I think she looks fierce all the time.”
“Carnaby street – I love the girly look of the 60s. I love wearing cute skirts with big oversized bows. It’s the one look I would interpret into my own style.”
“I’m loving some of the Lucy meck collection at the moment, I’ve got my eye on the Rebekah Lilac Pleated Midi Dress.”
