Each month we’ll be catching up with our student ambassadors to talk all things student style, study tips and overall student life.
Today we’re catching up with US based student, Sharchii.
Hey Sharchii, could you start by telling us a bit about yourself please?
I am a senior at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, studying International Studies and Music.
How about a 5 year plan? Or are you more of a “see what happens” kind of vibe?
I plan on graduating with a master’s degree in global health and concentration in Infectious Disease.
How do you find the study/life balance? Is there a way you prioritize one or the other?
I definitely try to plan out my school tasks and extra curricular on a weekly basis. I do tend to prioritize education/studying over other things.
Do you have any advice on meeting new people/making new friends?
I would say to attend social events and mixers that interest you. This way you would already have something to talk about.
Are there any study tips you’d love to share with our blog readers?
Maybe a hack you’ve found that helps when needing to get work done?
A tip I tend to use is studying right before going to sleep because it helps you remember the material well.
Ok, now for fashion!
If you were to describe your student style in 3 words, what would they be?
I would describe my style as chic, practical and trendy.
Is there a fashion trend you’re loving at the moment?
I am loving the mini-skirt trend that has been blowing up recently.
With talks of Spring Break, if you were to attend what would be your go-to outfit?
I would wear a co-ord, my fave go-to would be flare pants and an off-the shoulder top.
How about TikTok, are there any trends you think our readers need to be in the know with?
I’m loving the trend of voiceovers when watching get ready with me videos.
You’re heading to class (think Monday morning vibes), what you wearing?
A co-ord sweatshirt set would be my go-to.
Is there a student spot in that you’d recommend to go?
I would recommend going to Stray Hen Cafe in Ann Arbor. It is such an aesthetic and a great place for a photo op!
What are your 3 top picks off the PLT website right now?
