Countdown the days until Christmas with none stop festive plans.

The holidays are here (well, almost), and we can’t get enough of it!

From pancakes and mulled wine to hand-crafted Christmas decorations, were obsessed with the festive vibes of Christmas markets.

With most markets being cancelled the last two years, we want to make the most of Christmas celebrations being back and better than ever.

We’ve rounded up the best Christmas markets you can visit in the UK this year and when they open so you can start planning your winter trips.

Get set for the markets you don’t want to miss out on in 2022.

Edinburgh

York

The famous annual St Nicholas Fair returns for its 30th year in York city centre on 17th November.

Wooden chalets set on the winding cobbled streets of York adds to the charm of this Christmas market.

As well as a a new addition of a Michelin star Swiss inspired dining experience for 2022.

We’re also loving that York Christmas market has also banned single use plastic to add a sustainability focus this year.

Bath

The Bath Christmas Market is one of the most Instagrammable out there with traditional wreaths and chalets set amongst the historic city centre buildings.

Local crafters and designers will be setting up stalls to sell handmade gifts from the 24th November.

This market will only be running for two weeks so don’t miss out on a chance to visit this picturesque city turn into a winter wonderland.

Blenheim Palace

Looking for something a bit different to the typical city centre market experience?

Escape the city and head to Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire from the 18th November that promises to be bigger than ever.

The Great Court outside the Palace will be filled with traditional wooden chalet stalls.

Think handmade candles, craft spirits and charcuterie, this market will be full of local artisan products.

Inside the palace will be transformed into an indoor winter experience, while a light trail with over a million lights will be illuminating the gardens.

A trip to Blenheim Palace would bring all the festive vibes.

Birmingham

The iconic Frankfurt market in Birmingham has already opened its doors to the public this year.

Known to be the largest authentic German Christmas market in Europe besides in Germany itself, expect plenty of traditional German beer, live music and food.

If pretzels and bratwursts are you thing, a trip to Birmingham could be the perfect weekend activity for you this winter.

Manchester

Last up, we couldn’t not include the hometown of PLT – Manchester.

The famous Manchester Christmas markets are set to open on the 10th November.

The markets will feature 220 stalls spanning several of the iconic streets across the city centre, with Piccadilly Gardens to become ‘Winter Gardens’ until January.

With stalls including vegan food, homemade crafts, live music, a Nordic tipi bar and even an ice rink, there really is something for everyone.
