We Stan A Queen
Unfortunately whilst being the most attacked within the community, trans people are far from being the only members of the LGBTQ+ community that are under fire.
In June, Republican Bryan Slaton proposed a new law to ban drag shows in the presence of minors in Texas which then caused other republican lawmakers to agree that they would introduce similar legislation, including in Florida, Arizona and Georgia! At PLT we see drag as the expression and artform that it is, a celebration of queerness.
We’re launching our social campaign #WeStanAQueen to show the world that drag performers in all their forms should not be silenced, censored or cast aside.
Drag has served the LGBTQ+ communities for centuries, and it allows representation for young people to see that their identity is valid.
