DIY Face Masks You Can Do At Home
Whether you’re wanting to get that GLOW or just looking to pamper your pretty self, these masks are perfect for all you beauty queens.
#1 The brightening mask
Girl, keep that glow all year round and protect your skin from the dreaded colder months with this lemon & turmeric brightening mask. Mix 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1 tablespoon manuka honey, 1 teaspoon plain/greek yogurt and lastly juice from 1/2 of a fresh lemon into a bowl, apply it to your freshly washed face and leave it for 20 mins. The tumeric can stain clothes so be careful to wear an old shirt and use toner to get rid of the lovely yellow tint from your face.
#2 The hydrating mask
Don’t hate, hydrate. Mash together a whole avocado and add a teaspoon of vitamin E oil, this easy to make avocado mask hydrates and the vitamin oil helps protect your now baby soft skin. To soothe inflamed skin apply the mask evenly to your face and let it dry for 20 mins, then wash away the green crust with warm water.
#3 The blackhead mask
Wave goodbye to your blackheads and feel the power of this fruity face mask. Make a paste with one teaspoon of orange juice and one tablespoon of baking soda, massage the paste to the area on your face with blackheads, let it sit for about 10/15 mins, rinse and admire the results.
#4 The softening mask
This tropical mask is one my faves and leaves my skin looking on-point. It’s really simple to make, all you need is a tablespoon of honey and a few chunks of papaya. Mash them both together and spread it evenly on your face, let it sit for about 20 mins, wash away the paste with water and voila!
#5 The anti-aging mask
Turn back time with this lavender face mask. Mix together 3 tablespoons of natural yoghurt, 1 teaspoon of manuka honey and add 3 drops of lavender oil, apply a thick layer to your face, let it sit for 20 mins then rinse away with water. This purple plant mask is perfect for giving your skin an extra boost.
