Whether you’re heading to your cities local markets or venturing elsewhere around the country, going to the Christmas markets is essential.

Edinburgh

The Edinburgh Christmas Markets are a must-have for the perfect festive day out.

From 19th November, Princes Street Gardens and George Street will be lined with German style markets and attractions, including the infamous Christmas Tree Maze and Santa’s Grotto!

There’ll also be an ice rink, ten fairground rides and countless food and beverage options – need we say anymore?!

 

Manchester

The Manchester Christmas Markets are well and truly back with a bang this year!

From 12th November the city will welcome back it’s beloved markets alongside the brand new Winter Gardens, transforming the previous Piccadilly Gardens into a yuletide haven of bars, food stall, crafts and live music.

The markets will run across six city centre squares, with Manchester’s Giant Santa returning to his pride of place alongside the return of the notorious annual market mugs and dazzling Christmas lights. Best believe we’ll be taking multiple trips to Manchester this festive season!

 

Nottingham

The largest event in the East Midlands is back with the Nottingham Christmas Markets and Winter Wonderland!

From 15th November visitors can enjoy the chalet-inspired market stalls, a specially-constructed Christmas Village in Trinity Square and Smithy Row’s Helter Skelter Bar.

The city will be welcoming back their traditional 60ft Christmas tree in Old Market Square, which they can enjoy from 33m up in the air by taking a trip on the giant observation wheel! If Nottingham wasn’t on your must-visit list for Christmas markets, it defo should be.

 

Birmingham

The popular Frankfurt Christmas markets have returned to Birmingham with a tempting array of food, drink and gifting stalls.

After opening on 4th November visitors have been relishing in the traditional German delicacies of Bratwursts and Brezels, washing them down with a hot mug of mulled wine.

The markets also have a stunning ornate carousel as well as daily bands performing on the Christmas market stage – festive AF.

 

London

Probably the most well known festive event in the country, Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland is back!

With a countless selection of festive entertainment and activities like the ice rink and circus shows, to Christmas markets and live music, prepare for a truly magical day out.

There’s also a huge choice of food and drink options, whether you fancy cocktails at Bar Ice, snuggling up by a crackling fire at the Fire Pit or taking a 360 spin at the Carousel Bar. You really are spoilt for choice at the capitals Winter Wonderland!
