Positive Things To Focus on Right Now

19 | 02 | 2021

Let’s face it, when it seems like the news is all doom and gloom, it’s hard for even the most optimistic among us to stay positive. But during these trying, testing and difficult times, using your energy to focus on the positive things in life we can control will make all the difference to your mood and mental health. Let’s call this some necessary self-care.

Positive Things To Focus on Right Now

Scroll down for some positive focuses to help keep you motivated right now and end your week on nothing but those good vibes.

Keep a gratitude list

Finish your day, every day, with positive acknowledgements of things you accomplished, no matter how small, or are grateful for. It will help dilute some of the negativity we’re all currently absorbing from what’s going on in the world and remind you of the small wins in life. Go one step further and stick it on the fridge to boost your mood every time you reach for your next snack.

Create a routine for yourself

Working from home also allows for a lot more flexibility around your working hours, however, this can be both a blessing and a curse. Try sticking to your regular work hours to help keep that work life balance in check and take regular breaks. Knowing what you need to get done and the amount of time you have to do it in will help you keep your day balanced and help you stay focused on the tasks at hand when you need to be.

Staying active

Ok, making sure you’re looking after your physical health can be pretty difficult when you can barely keep track of what day it is. Exercise truly is one of the best mood boosters we can do for ourselves so inserting more of this within your daily routine is crucial to keep your mind, body and soul feeling 100%. Even if it’s just 30 minutes a day, setting this time aside to stay active either in the morning or on your lunch break will make all the difference. Remember it takes around 60 days to form a habit and 30 to break one!

Nurture your relationships

Whether you’re back at home quarantining with family, living with friends, or are flying solo, make the effort to nurture your relationships and deepen those connections with loved ones. Regular phone calls, group chats or socially distanced visits to those in your bubble are more important than ever right now. After all, one of the few silver linings to this whole pandemic is the excess time we have all accumulated allowing us to look after those around us who are really important to us in life. So cherish it.

Making the best use of your space

While the majority of us are currently back working from home, it’s important to feng shui the heck out of your makeshift home office set up. Focus on creating clear boundaries by sectioning off the key areas within your WFH space so you have designated living and working areas. This will help give more purpose to the different parts of your home ensuring optimum productivity.

Sending you nothing but positive vibes!
